Miles Biel for City Council

Join in making Lansing a safer, more affordable home for each and every one of us

About Miles

Miles has lived in and around Lansing for nearly half of his life, starting when he was a freshman at Holt High School. He would go on to attend Michigan State University where he received a degree in environmental economics and later Unity College, in Unity, Maine, where he received an MBA with a focus on sustainable business. Miles spent time working in higher education in Milwaukee where he met his wife, Emily. The two now live in Lansing's Groesbeck neighborhood with their dog and cat.

Miles has made a career in energy efficiency - working for the likes of DTE, Consumers Energy, and the State of Michigan's Energy Services Unit. His focus has been on designing new products and programs that help households and businesses save money on their utility bills. He is running for city council because of the love he has for Lansing and his desire to see the city grow in a way that benefits all Lanstronauts.
